How long is your turnaround time? If I were to place an order, when will I receive it ?
Our turnaround time is 10 working days (Monday through Friday) or less from once we receive approved artwork and payment to when your items are printed and shipped from our location, PLUS shipping transit time of 1 to 5 working days (depending on your location). Generally we get a lot of orders out in 7 to 8 working days, ahead of schedule, but 10 working days is the standard. Our 10 working day turnaround time applies to ALL orders and Package Deals as well. Unless a rush charge is paid.

Orders for higher quantities than what is listed may take more time to complete. In those cases we will give you an estimate turnaround time for completion of the order.
If I get my artwork and payment in today, how fast can you print my order?
How quickly could you get it done?
There's really no way to answer this question....We have many orders in our system that are printed and shipped everyday, and we do not drop prior commitments.
However a better question to ask us to find out how quickly we can produce an order is to tell us the last possible date you would need to receive an order, AND your zip code to calculate the transit shipping days, and we'll let you know if we can work your order into our schedule.

Do working days include Saturdays and Sundays?
Our standard 10 working day turnaround time (plus shipping transit time) DOES NOT include Saturdays or Sundays, or major holidays. Please take that into account when you are planning your order.

What kind of shirts do you have? Are they good quality?
We sell 100% cotton, Heavyweight 5.6 oz., Preshrunk T-shirts, unless the customer requests a more expensive and/or heavier weight t-shirt. Prices listed on our website are for good, quality 100% cotton t-shirts. You can get 50/50 t-shirts if that is what you want, however the price for 50/50's are the same as 100% cotton t-shirts.

Do your T-shirt prices listed include shipping? If not, how much will it cost to ship shirts to me?
Costs per shirt listed on our T-shirt pricing tables do not include shipping cost.
Shipping cost for t-shirts is based on the quantity of t-shirts (the weight), and your zipcode (the distance the shirts must travel to your location).

A word about SHIPPING CHARGES VERSUS SALES TAX from a LOCAL PRINTER in your area: Shipping charges are almost ALWAYS LOWER than sales tax charges that you may have to pay to a local vendor. Even if we are sending shirts from our location in OH to CA, we are still very competitive in price to a California printer.

What are screen/setup charges?
We use silk screens to print images onto shirts and vinyl sticker sheets. A screen is needed for each color of the image of the design for each side. We can print up to 8 colors per side.
Screen set ups are $15.00 each, which include color separations and a film positive. Screen setups are one time charges per design. If you were to reorder shirts with the same design in the future without changes to the artwork, then there would be NO screen setup charges.

Can I mix or match sizes and quantities of shirts? Do they have to be in even dozens of color and size, or can I get what I think I need?
Yes you can mix or match sizes and quantities of shirts. They do NOT have be in even dozens either. If you need 7 small, 9 medium 14 large and 39 XL, that is no problem.
You can also mix colors of shirts in the same T-shirt color categories that we offer, if the ink colors you choose will work with different colored shirts.
It is not possible to mix white shirts and dark shirts within in an order without occurring ink color change charges (if it's possible to do in the first place). We charge $10.00 per ink color to change the color of ink in the middle of a shirt job (if it can be done).

Can you e-mail me a picture of the shirt colors so I can decide what I want?
Yes we can e-mail you a jpeg of shirt color swatches to give you a good idea of what colors look like. The jpeg is NOT EXACT (due mainly to differences in computer monitors), but you will be able to see the difference in the color names. Just request a T-shirt color chart and we will e-mail it to you promptly. info@merchfits.com

What is the minimum quantity of shirts I can get?
12 shirts is our minimum. If you wanted only 6 shirts, the price per shirt for 6 would add up the same as if you got 12 shirts. That is because it takes the same amount of time and labor to prepare the artwork for screen printing, produce the film, coat and burn the screens, and set up the press for 6 shirts or 24 shirts, or even 100 shirts. Once we actually start printing the shirts, it doesn't take that much more time to print 12 or 24 shirts, etc...

Can I supply my own garments?
Yes, we will decorate garments you provide under the provision that it will be at your own risk. When we provide the garments, we can be sure they are suitable for the process we are applying to them. MerchFITS is not responsible for replacement of any customer supplied garments/items when damaged due to machine or any screen printing or embroidery related malfunctions.

How big of an image can you print on a shirt? How big can I make my artwork?
Our maximum print area is 16 inches by 18 inches per side for t-shirts. Most t-shirt images are 10" to 11" across the chest, however it's up to you to decide how big you want your graphics to be, and your artwork should be created to that size. It's all a matter of your taste.
For example, the images printed on the shirts in this photo range from 13" wide to 17.25" tall. They cover a fairly good portion of the shirt.

Can you Print Oversized / Jumbo Printing?
At this time, pricing for Oversized printing is an additional $0.65 added to the listed price. Jumbo print pricing is not available on-line so you will need to call one of our many customer service associates who can work through your requirements and price your jumbo sized creations appropriately. It is really quite simple. We are located 25 miles from 2 of the largest t-shirt distributors in Southwest Ohio. We pick up goods there everyday so we don't have to keep inventory on hand to fulfill our orders. We have a really low overhead, and we do all our printing in-house, and have lots of excess capacity. All of these factors explain how we can offer exceptionally low screen printing prices.

Absolutely, as long as the image being printed and the ink colors being used are the same for all the items within your order you can mix and match as much as you like. If the design is the same but you need to change ink colors there will be a $10 charge per ink color being changed. You will need to communicate this request via email and you will be changed separately for this request.

We get quite a few inquiries about printing over seams and yes, we print over seams.
Plastisol ink builds up when you try to print it over a seam, hem or zipper. Regardless of print method, there will always be some inconsistency of ink deposit when printing on an irregular surface. If you have a zipper hoodie for example, think about making a notch in the art file so it wouldn't over the seam. If you request to have your design printed over a seam please be aware of this issue and speak to your sales rep. about your concern before you order.

YES WE CAN! MerchFITS can help you with basic edits and layouts and that type of work is included in the prices. However, if you require full featured, created from scratch artwork, just give us a call and we will see what we can do to create that perfect design for you. Our typical hourly rate is just $35.00 an hour for full featured, created from scratch concept artwork designed by one of our in-house artists. Remember that an artwork fee will only be charged for that created from scratch, custom designed artwork. Basic edits and layouts are included in our price and are typical of over 99% of our orders. We can usually work with just about any type of art file short of a crayon drawling on a paper napkin. Obviously, the better artwork you provide us the better your shirts will turn out. Below is a list of common files we can easily work with.
Accepted File Types:
PC Preferred. Some Macintosh file formats will work. Please convert them to PC type first. Call for exact specifics if not covered here.
Adobe Illustrator .Ai (WinPC).
All text must be converted to outlines to prevent the need for us to have your exact font. Images of photos or drawings placed into and AI file may not be useable.
Corel Draw .CDR (WinPC).
We promarily out most of our vector based designs with Corel Draw. All text must be converted to outlines to prevent the need for us to have your exact font. Images of photos or drawings placed into and AI file may not be usable.
Adobe Photoshop .PSD (WinPC).
Black and white outlines. Image size should be 4"x4" for small designs and 18"x20" for large designs. Resolution must be at 300 dpi or better. Also to help us better, please have the design in it's separated layers. For example a layer for each color of the design. We can separate design if need be, but that takes some time depending on the complexity of the design.
Design Vectorization ( redraw )
We can redraw or convert almost any image, jpeg, bitmap, tiff image into a clean vector design. For example, if you have a logo on a business card or an image off the web. We can convert it into a clean vectorized form.
If your file type is not listed above, please send it anyway. We will do our best to convert it into a file we can work with. If for some reason we can not work with the file(s) you have sent us we will notify you immediately.
Please make sure you send us the highest resolution and largest size of your image (300 DPI or greater preferred). The better the artwork you send the better the shirts will look.

HOW DO I GET MY FILES TO YOU?
You have three options for sending your artwork files:

We have an excellent electronic proofing system in place. Generally within 2 business days of placing your order you will receive an electronic proof of your artwork designs. This proof will show you ink colors, image sizes, placement, etc. We do not begin production of your order until you have approved your electronic proof.
Production samples are not provided for orders under 1,000 units unless requested and may incur a sampling charge. If your order is 1,000 units or more and there is sufficient lead times, at your request, we will produce a production sample for you at no charge. Please call us for further details.

Once you have placed your order you can expect to receive your electronic proof within 2 business days. Once you have approved your art proof your order will be put in our production schedule and will be produced within 5-10 business days. Once produced, your order will be shipped out via UPS Ground. Please account for the 2 days for art time, 5-10 business days for production time, and 1-5 days for shipment time in your schedule.

As many of our competitors charge a handful of additional fees to ultimately over charge you for your order, the lower price must be for the same product, quantity, delivery schedule (i.e rush vs. standard service), decoration method and shipping type. We want to make sure we are all comparing apples to apples so our Lowest Prices on the Internet Guarantee applies to the final cost, including all decoration, art, setup, and shipping costs.
